1. Introduction

VectaFinance ("we", "our", "us") provides a CSV-to-financial-report converter. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information when you use vectafinance.com (the "Service").

2. Information we collect

Account data: name, email address, password hash — collected via Firebase Authentication when you sign up.
Uploaded files: CSV files you submit for report generation. Stored encrypted in Google Firestore in the region nearest you.
Generated reports: PDF reports we create from your CSVs, tied to your user account.
Usage data: pages visited, features used, browser & device info — collected via privacy-respecting analytics.

3. How we use your data

To deliver, maintain and improve the Service
To generate the financial reports you request
To send transactional emails (report ready, account changes)
To detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents

We do NOT use your uploaded CSV data to train AI models.

4. Data storage & security

Data is stored on Google Cloud (Firebase) infrastructure with encryption at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Access is restricted via Firestore security rules — only you and authorised VectaFinance staff can read your submissions and reports.

5. Data retention

We retain account data for the lifetime of your account. Uploaded CSVs and generated reports are retained until you delete them or close your account. Deleted data is purged from backups within 30 days.

6. Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)

You may at any time: access your data, correct it, export it, or request deletion. Email contact@vectafinance.com.

7. Third-party services

Google Firebase — authentication and data storage
Netlify — site hosting and edge delivery
Stripe (when payments are enabled) — payment processing

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies for authentication. See our Cookie Policy.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

We will notify users by email of material changes to this policy.
